GRAYE PARNELL
MANAGING PRINCIPAL
As Founder and Managing Principal of Graystoke Capital Partners, Graye brings his deep and diverse real estate experience to serve investors and lead the Graystoke team with deal origination, acquisitions, and maintaining institutional capital relationships. Graye has underwritten and completed complex real estate transactions across multiple asset types including multifamily, retail, office, industrial, debt/loan purchases, and others. Previously, Graye was on the acquisitions and capital markets team at Bridge33 Capital, where he sourced and underwrote commercial real estate properties, a majority of which came out of CMBS via special servicers. Prior to Bridge33, Graye worked at InvestRes, sourcing and underwriting multifamily acquisitions in the mountain west. Other duties included sourcing and maintaining institutional equity relationships.
Graye also runs a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization that focuses on providing medical, dental, and educational opportunities in remote villages in developing countries. Other interests include skiing, golf, fly fishing, and piloting a wide range of aircraft.
JOE FORAN
MANAGING PRINCIPAL
As a Managing Principal, Joe is engaged with the acquisition, deal structuring and asset management efforts of Graystoke Capital Partners. Prior to joining Graystoke, Joe worked in the investment banking division of Raymond James Financial where he was focused on mergers and acquisitions, securing capital, and strategic planning in the financial services sector.
Prior to Raymond James, Joe worked for InvestRes, which was a Florida-based real estate investment firm focused on value-add multifamily assets that owned and managed over 15,000 units. During his time at InvestRes, Joe was involved with the acquisition and capital raising efforts of more than $250 million of multifamily assets. Additionally, while at InvestRes, Joe was tasked with supporting the firm’s growth efforts and moved to Denver, CO to help spearhead the company’s expansion into the western U.S. Joe holds a BS in Finance from the University of Florida.
MATT STEFFEN
MANAGING PRINCIPAL
As a Managing Principal, Matt focuses on acquisitions, capital markets and investor relations, along with other corporate growth initiatives at Graystoke Capital Partners. Matt brings over 16 years of commercial real estate experience in multiple disciplines. Prior to joining Graystoke, Matt served as Managing Director, Capital Markets for JLL in Denver, and in a similar capacity with Walker & Dunlop in Phoenix, having financed over $4 billion in multifamily investments while working closely with investment sales teams. In addition to capital markets, Matt has extensive valuation experience as a former Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. In that capacity, Matt served as a Valuation Services Director at Colliers International, where he led a team focused on multifamily valuation services throughout the Southwest, providing analysis and valuation on over $3 billion of commercial real estate.
Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation from California Maritime Academy at California State University (Vallejo), as well as a professional graduate-level certificate in Principals of Finance through Harvard University. Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys who are active in hockey and lacrosse, as well as fly fishing, skiing and golf.
DAVIS CRAWFORD
CONTROLLER
As Controller, Davis oversees finance and accounting operations for Graystoke Capital Partners, along with other corporate initiatives. Prior to joining Graystoke, Davis worked as an Audit Senior for Spicer Jeffries LLP, a public accounting firm that handles audits for complex partnership and company structures, including hedge funds, real estate funds, private equity funds, and broker-dealers with varying investing and advisor strategies. As a senior auditor, Davis worked closely with senior management reviewing company closings, financial statements, and investment strategies to affirm accurate reporting. Davis was involved in working with partnerships that had total AUM over $1 billion and managed projects for up to 50+ clients. Prior to Spicer Jeffries LLP, Davis obtained real estate accounting and finance experience for Legacy Capital Partners, LP and Steady Plodding Investments, LLC, both real estate investment companies located in Colorado and Oklahoma, respectively. Mr. Crawford holds a BS in Accounting and a BS in Business Administration from Colorado Christian University.
JEFF STORTI
ASSOCIATE
As an Associate, Jeff focuses on business development and private capital relationships at Graystoke Capital Partners. Mr. Storti brings over 20 years of experience in development, civil engineering, and government relations in the real estate industry. Prior to joining Graystoke, Jeff served as Business Development Director for Washington Group International (URS) and HDR Engineering, managing financial budgeting and business development efforts for large projects across the west. Jeff’s keen knowledge of regional growth markets comes from his extensive background in national and state politics in the early years of his career. Serving as a Legislative Correspondent in Washington D.C. for Idaho’s senior Senator and later as an advisor for Governor Dirk Kempthorne and as Press Secretary for Governor Jim Risch, Jeff gained a unique understanding of the challenges and opportunities in developing regions in the western United States. For the past decade, Jeff has been effectively applying his expertise to the private sector by serving as a consultant, identifying and executing optimal investment and partnership strategies throughout the commercial real estate industry. In his free time, Jeff is an avid golfer and enjoys spending his weekends on trips with his wife and son.
COREY CHECKETTS
PRESIDENT and PRINCIPAL, GRAYSTOKE SOCIAL IMPACT
As President and co-Founder of Graystoke Social Impact (“GSI”), Corey oversees the acquisition, development, and preservation of affordable housing within the Graystoke investment footprint. Corey works synergistically with the Managing Principals of Graystoke Capital Partners structuring complex public/private partnerships, securing debt, and tax credit equity. In addition to his role at GSI, Corey founded and serves as President of Happy Home Capital Corporation, an Idaho-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on the acquisition and preservation of affordable housing, whose mission is to empower people through housing to alleviate poverty.
Corey holds a BA in Philosophy and Economics from the University of Maryland. Outside of work, Corey enjoys quality time with his wife and daughter, fishing, reading, and tinkering with linux distributions.

As President and Principal, Serena is charged with overseeing operations and property management activities for Fortified Property Solutions, Graystoke Capital Partner’s integrated property management platform. Serena brings over 10 years of experience in the multi-family housing industry. Prior to joining the Graystoke and co-founding Fortified, Serena served in senior roles with TableRock Residential, Avenue5 and Manco Abbott where she specialized in high profile lease-ups and rehabs. Outside of work, Serena enjoys spending time with her husband and their four children living the outdoor lifestyle that makes Idaho so unique.

HEAD OF OPERATIONS, FORTIFIED PROPERTY SOLUTIONS
As an Head of Operations, Anna is charged with managing property operations across the Fortified Property Solutions management portfolio. Anna oversees the asset management for all properties to ensure business plan execution and optimal performance. Anna brings over 10 years of experience in the multi-family housing industry. Prior to joining the company, Anna worked with The Sterling Group and RAM Partners LLC. In her spare time, Anna enjoys painting, traveling, and spending time with her dogs.

As a Regional Manager for Fortified Property Solutions, Kristen oversees our Boise area portfolio working closely with the on-site teams. Kristen brings over 10 years of experience in the property management industry. Prior to joining Fortified, Kristen held senior roles with well-known management companies. Outside of work, Kristen enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids camping and finding new places to explore outside.

As a Regional Manager for Fortified Property Solutions, Cari overseas our eastern Washington, northern Idaho and affordable portfolio, working closely with the on-site management teams. Cari brings over 16 years of market-rate and affordable property management experience with Gemstar and FPI. Outside of work, Cari enjoys spending time on her family, camping, riding dirt bikes and gardening.
SAMANTHA BISHOP
PROCESS AND MARKETING MANAGER, FORTIFIED PROPERTY SOLUTIONS
As Process and Marketing Manager for Fortified Property Solutions, Samantha works closely with leadership on special projects to improve internal processes and procedures, as well as marketing strategies for properties within the portfolio. Samantha brings over 10 years of property management experience with well-known companies such as Avenue5 and Cortland. Outside of work, Samantha enjoys spending time on her family farm, reading books, and sports.

FINANCIAL ANALYST
As a Financial Analyst, Heather assists the operations team with property financials across the Fortified Property Solutions and Graystoke Capital Partners’ portfolio. Heather brings over 5 years of professional finance and accounting experience. Prior to joining the company, Heather worked in finance and accounting at ClickFunnels. Heather earned her degree in Finance from Montana State University – Billings, where she was a standout student-athlete on the softball team. In 2024, Heather was inducted into the Montana State University – Billings Hall of Fame. A Boise native, Heather enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle with her family, including skiing and golfing.

Joshua is AIR’s EVP and Co-Chief Investment Officer. Joshua joined AIR in October 2021. Prior to joining AIR, Joshua led private direct real estate investments for Partners Group in the Americas where he was responsible for investments representing over $4 billion in GAV. Before joining Partners Group, he was a Managing Director at Avesta Communities where he focused on acquisitions, debt and equity capital markets, and company growth and strategy across the company’s business units and geographies. There, Joshua executed more than 100 transactions nationally, growing the portfolio by over 15,000 units. Previously Joshua practiced law as a commercial litigation attorney at Wiley Rein LLP in Washington D.C. Mr. Minix received a B.S. in Economics, summa cum laude, from George Mason University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School where he was an Olin Fellow in Business, Economics, and Law. During Law School Mr. Minix clerked on the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver for Justice (then Judge) Neil Gorsuch. Joshua was also an editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. Prior to law school Joshua was a defense acquisitions analyst at the Institute for Defense Analyses in Alexandria and Arlington Virginia.
When not working to grow AIR’s portfolio Joshua can typically be found enjoying Colorado’s mountains by skiing, hiking, or biking with his wife and their two children.
